Speakeasy
131 Chrystie St, New York, NY 10002
Hidden in a gallery
Extraordinarily cool entrance. There's a dark, likely empty art gallery off the street.
Go inside, the door is open. There are paintings of women posing nude lining the walls.
In the back of the room, on the wall with the purple light strip lining the bottom, there will be a very inconspicuous door.
Go through it and you've found Fig. 19.
I can't say I've ever seen a speakeasy behind an art gallery before. This is a new one, and it's surprisignly classy on the inside. I guess that fits the gallery vibe.
The drinks have near aristocratic names, too. It's all very high society-ish, I liked it a lot.
Definitely check it out.
