Vibey nighttime diner

Imagine an all-American 50s style diner.

Now make it a swanky bar with a bit of club energy.

You've got yourself Fox's Lounge. It's been open since the 40s, and it's still doing an excellent job.

Off the main street (South Dixie Hwy), there's nothing but a neon fox sign and blacked out curtains. You've got to head around back on 74th, and then you should see a tall, red diner sign.

The door is painted red, it says "ENTER" on it.

I love spots like this. Hidden bars with history aren't a common thing anymore. And the Miami party scene doesn't tend to care much for history lately.

So, not to be cliche, Fox's was a breath of fresh air. I'll be coming back for sure, and quite honestly, it's really the only speakeasy in it's area I've been able to find.

If you're out by Uni of Miami, check it out.
