Hole in the wall
I think I'm in love. The ceiling is falling apart, they focus on sake, and it's just barely hidden enough.
It's very small, only seating a dozen people at most.
But it feels like a real hole in the wall.
It feels like you'd only learn it was on your block after a year or so.
It feels like a speakeasy.
Sometimes they'll post a small folding sign out front, but that's the extent of the advertisement.
I know it's tiny, but it's honestly one of my favorites in the whole of New York City. It's hard to find genuine spots like this.
Maybe I'm old fashioned. I dig it.
