If you want an upscale, well decorated location, this is a great one.

The Monterrey bar is, as far as I'm aware, the only speakeasy located on Venetian Way - the mostly residential bridge neighborhood that crosses Biscayne Bay in Miami.

I've walked across many times, but I didn't know this spot existed until recently.

It's snugly tucked inside The Standard Hotel and Spa.

I'll be coming back without a doubt, but for now I recommend you give it a try.
