I was extremely excited when I heard about a speakeasy in a subway station.

It’s close enough to make me smile, but it does miss the mark.

If you’re looking for it on the street level, you’ll miss it. You have to go down into the actual subway entrance and then it’s rather obvious.

It’s loud, visible, and they’ve got a bouncer, etc.

I’ll add it to the honorable mentions list, because I still think the way to reach it is unique.

But if they just put slightly more effort into hiding it, I’d mark it as a full speakeasy.

I hate to be nitpicky, but that’s what this website is for. I want genuinely hidden bars, and this was close but no cigar.
