Behind an Indian restaurant
It's not super well documented, but Room 207 appears to be behind the Indian restaurant on the corner named Jazba.
Head to the back, it's got all the classic speakeasy frills.
New York is interesting. Most other speakeasies in other cities tend to just have secret bars themed after their host restaurants.
But New York seems to REALLY love the old 1920s speakeasy vibe, even more than Chicago, a city with arguably more recognized history during prohibition.
Room 207 is like that. There's a live trumpet player some nights I heard, and it's got the red lights and the red curtains.
Great spot - I highly recommend it, and the restaurant outside is excellent too.
