Speakeasy

Very tiny, lots of sake
This reminds me a bit of one of my favorite speakeasies in Chicago - it's called High Five Ramen.
But StEight is it's own beast, and it's got everything I like.
You have to know where it is to get in - it's behind the Kuniya Hair salon.
They've got a delicious, large selection of sake, and everything is very Japanese. From the music to the tiled ceiling.
It's a very very small spot - there's probably only room for six or so people at the bar, and that's basically it.
But that just makes sitting there all the more private and personal and fun. I like really small hole in the wall speakeasies like this the most.
It's not a big, loud experience. It's just a secret spot.
Do keep in mind, anyplace like this is going to be difficult to get into. When you only have a few seats, even if it's not that well known, they go fast.
I know it's limiting, but I try to get to spots this small right as they open.
Go check it out though, it's delighful.
