This is hands down one of my favorite spots in Los Angeles.

It's incredibly well done, and just overall a blast.

Strong Water is a genuine speakeasy. It's not advertised on the street, beyond a very nondescript sign hanging on the door that just says 'Please wait to be seated'.

The theme is very close to Pirates of the Caribbean. Think treasure, sunken ships, and skull and crossbones.

The drinks are excellent. Their special brand of liquor has even won a ton of awards.

The company that runs them does a ton of other really cool stuff. Short films, other speakeasies, and more.

But outside of the excellent tiki vibe, there's another secret.

There's a semi-hidden area of the bar called the 'Captain's Quarters'.

Do a little exploring and you should find it.

I can't recommend this spot enough - go check it out. :)
