Speakeasy
3321 Hyland Ave, Costa Mesa
Old library energy
The Guild Club is hidden inside a really nice, gorgeous restaurant called Arc Food and Libations.
The vibe, for lack of a more eloquent term, is f***ing awesome.
Old, ornate, stained wood everywhere. It felt like I was on the Orient Express, or in an old mansion.
The speakeasy is in the back, and it's got the same incredible vibe.
It's not that well known, and it's very expensive, so prepare for some high quality service at a high price.
But it's also very private and extremely small. There's really only a few seats.
So if you're looking for the Venn diagram intersection of bougie and intimate, this is the spot.
I found a spot like this in Chicago once - anything of this type is very rare.
